No matter where you are, a good book is always a great idea for any kind of trip. So we prepared a list of 6 best books for all the readers and travellers out there, which you can pack with in your suitcases or backpacks for your trips in winter. With a good quality pair of touch screen winter gloves, you don't even need to remove gloves while you turn the pages and so your fingers stay warm and protected from the extreme cold all the time.

1. A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens

This book is perhaps Dickens' one of the best works. This book is perfect to read during holidays, especially during christmas as the book itself is set during that time. The book encompasses a beautiful tale about cruelty, forgiveness and redemption of the protagonist. The story tells us about a selfish and mean-spirited man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who hates Christmas and how he transformed from a greedy and lonely man to a compassionate and kind man. While reading this book during your winter vacation, You will feel as if the characters come alive and you become a part of their story. This is no doubt the best book to read when you are all curled up in your blanket drinking a cup of hot chocolate and wearing a warm pair of merino wool socks. You need to keep your feet protected from frostbite and blisters while you immerse yourself in reading Dickens one of the best novels of all time.

2. Who threw Draco down the chimney? - Smita Bhattacharya

If you are a person who loves solving mysteries and suspense, then you are in for a treat. The Darya Nandkarni mystery series are cozy atmospheric whodunits that aim to provide what readers crave: an exciting mystery, an escape to unknown lands, and the familiarity of lovable and relatable characters. The third of the series Who Killed Draco Down the Chimney was released this November. The idea for the book came to the author on a sabbatical in Romania last year. She was visiting a medieval town called Sibiu, built in the 12th century by Saxon settlers. She noticed that the town’s houses had strange vents on their roofs. They looked like eyes and seemed to follow her around. A plot formed in her head and she couldn’t wait to put it down on paper. Smita was also fascinated by Romania overall: its beauty, culture, the marvellous rumours she heard while she stayed there. The Gothic horror novel Dracula by Bram Stoker was also based in Romania. Thus, Smita decided to mix everything up: the crazy legends, the unfounded rumours, the gypsy stories, the eclectic local characters, the beauty of its villages and towns. And out came an exciting potboiler!

This novel engages you in a spiral of events that lead you to the unanswered questions, while you are cozying up in your warm blanket wearing the warmest socks for winters. Check out the look of the book here and order one for yourself fast to spice up your winter journey. For more interesting adventures with Darya, check out the author’s page here.
